“Creating Innovators: It’s the making of young people who will change the world.” – Tony Wagner, Harvard Professor
The Raising Artists team has developed an innovative and educational visual arts program specifically for primary students across the GTA. Our classroom workshops use art to help children develop self-awareness, critical thinking, visual literacy, and problem-solving skills.
Our curriculum-based approach works hand-in-hand with Ministry expectations, and inspired fully by the Reggio Emilia Approach. Students will receive an introduction to art history, learn about colour theory, and of course, have fun on the canvas, and the classroom.
Our team comes equipped with all the necessary materials and supplies, including paints, brushes, canvases (each child goes home with an 8 x 10 canvas of their masterpiece), drop-sheets, and age-appropriate motivational materials. All materials are included in the workshop fee, eliminating the need for extra invoicing and budget approvals. We also take care of the mess and pack up the supplies, so teachers and students can focus on learning and creating in their classrooms.
