It is no secret we LOVE to craft! It boosts creativity and inspiration!

Having the freedom to create without boundaries stimulates both the imagination and the soul. You may even gain the confidence to think outside the box in other facets of your lives. I love to craft with friends, family, my team (and of course my clients and students). I learn from people by observing when they craft; I enjoy discovering how inspiration emerges from their head and their hearts and manifests as they craft, how they concentrate on their task, how they develop their ideas, and how their moods shift as they create.
I love crafting because it brings a huge sense of serenity into my busy life. Escape – my mind is focused, clear, and calm. It is a form of meditation for me. As I craft, I always find an internal solo brainstorming session occurring; some of my finest ideas come to me while creating.
Do you craft? What materials do you like to use? Why? When do you craft? What is the emotion that appears during crafting and after crafting?

There is no question that healthy people’s lives include creative outlets, a way to express themselves constructively. Recognizing the benefits crafting has, in 1994 the Craft & Hobby Association designated March as “National Craft Month”. It was designed to help people rediscover their creativity and learn about the wonderful world of crafting and all of its many benefits. (Of course, craft month is every month for us here at Raising Artists!).
In honour of Crafting Month the team at Raising Artists has curated an amazing line up for our viewers and followers to craft along with Raising Artists on Instagram live. We will be exploring new mediums, creating fun and simple crafts, and showing off our work and when we aren’t hosting Instagram Lives, I will be dropping reels of quick and easy crafts you can do at home with your budding artist.
We invite you to craft with us this month!
