Today we turned 7!
Every business has to start somewhere. Usually, that place is a garage or a basement or a bedroom. Ours started in the basement in my parent’s home. We evolved from renting space in the Artscape buildings on the weekends to facilitating art education programs 5 days a week for the Toronto Catholic District school board, and so much in between. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions. What a beautiful adventure these last 7 years have been.
I will say this past year has been my most challenging year thus far. My passion, perseverance, purpose, and resilience has been bent, tried, and tested. But through it all, Raising Artists kept moving forward. I am grateful I have a remarkable community, incredible friends, mentors, an exceptional family and my unbelievable business partner, The Lovely Rita supporting me, and reflecting on that is perhaps the best birthday gift of all.
